Hawaii Grasses

Zoysia

Zoysia is found throughout much of Asia and is popular for golf courses because it can handle wide variations in temperature, sunlight and watering.  It is relatively easy to maintain and is great for halting or resisting erosion.  Want to have a great looking Hawaiian lawn?  Start with Zoysia.

St Augustine

St Augustine is easily identifiable by its large leafy blades of grass, rapid growing and hardiness. It can and will grow just about anywhere and is very easy to maintain.  This is a very popular grass for Hawaiian lawns.

Bermuda

Bermuda grows thick and green during the summer and you'll see it on a lot of golf courses. It is weed resistant and is sturdy and tough.  It's also very hard to hit a golf ball out of when it grows thick and deep.  You'll often see Bermuda grass grow dormant during the winter months but even still it is a very popular grass.
